The Aspirational District Programme (ADP) was launched by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in 2018, encompassing 112 districts in India, with Baksa Barpeta, Darrang, Dhubri, Goalpara, Udalguri and Hailakandi being the districts selected in Assam. Piramal Foundation entered into an MoU with the Government of Assam to enhance education indicators outlined by the NITI Aayog in five aspiring districts within the state. In accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the Piramal Foundation provided support to the State Government and District Administration in enhancing leadership and professional development of individuals in the Education Department. Different interventions were utilized to offer this support, with a specific emphasis on enhancing Learning Outcomes and Transition Rate. The main intervention activities encompassed the development of coaches and facilitators, support for planning and governance, improvement of school processes, demonstration school, and engagement with the community.
Stakeholder Engagement
Led engagement strategies with government officials to support the Aspirational District Transformation Program (Education).

Curriculum Development
Developed a Socio-Emotional Ethical Learning (SEEL) curriculum in Assamese, customized to meet local educational needs.
